And I decided to use it as an announcement of my intentions of finally getting this Book together

A couple of Months Ago I fleetingly mentioned during an interview that I was Planning a New Comic about an English Dandy. Well Now I think is the time to start showing the work that is in Progress Heres the First Page. Pretty Sure this will be a Short Web Comic Series. What Do you think?

Anyone Out There?

Well as you may or may not have noticed I have taken a breather from my regular art Blog as a lot has been happening infront of and behind the scenes.

I've come to realise pehaps too late but I hope not, that I have a lot of responsibilty to people who think of me as foremost a good artist that they look up to and respect it. I believe I am in no way in the same league as my heroes artwise but when people get excited just because I talk to them online, or recieve emails from people in the business saying how much they love my work. Than theres something there that I have had to reconsider and see that my responsibilty is alot greater than I have ever thought.

I've never liked 'Fame' I know lots who crave it and I've seen what it has done to some people, going to their overblown heads. I don't want to be EVER be like that. So I tried to destroy the little respect I had so that I could be left alone and do what I love doing and draw while trying to etch a career from it however it was more negative than a positive experience.

I have a great new opportunity here with my latest dreamworks artworks, and I am constantly reminded how lucky I am when I meet up with other artists and my close friends who envy the position I am currently in even if right now times are still tough for me I make little money from art right now nor no full time position or employment. But if I were to finally get in studio work and experience I am sure to become a better person for it.

So if you ever get the urge Message me on Facebook at www.facebook.com/mattpott comment here on the blog, or better yet feel free to email me. Let me Know you are out there. I dont bite much but I love to hear from people all across the world! Talk Again Soon!

Released Saturday October 17th 2009, The Cover now with Title has Ended up being a Variant by mistake apparently so its now even rarer. I really hope you guys can find it. Let me Know.

Spooktacular!

This is a reminder that you can now Order Image Comics 'The Perhapanauts Halloween Spooktacular' in this months PREVIEWS due out in the Second Week of October 2009, I am one of four Artists contributing a cover I'm also mentioned in a recent interview by Writer and Co-Creator Todd Dezago HERE. It seems so Long Ago since this was done when in fact April last year. I even had a few limited Prints to swap at comic con last year. I think I still have one of those left no idea where most of the others ended up. Looking back at this now I see some major flaws and things I'd like to go back and redo. BUT thats benefit of Hindsight for you.

Okay I feel really bad I wasn't as active a member on the Autumn Society so I think I've been dumped from there. I have had alot of people wanting me to join their groups in the past year and I've declined many it just got a bit much with my current workload for me to be active.

Perhapanauts Six

While in the city today I went to checkout the Latest Previews magazine and Yep my Name is in it again for the Second time in 13 months. I wasn't sure if my Cover was going to be Used and it wasnt opting for another but they need to sell it with a Bigger Name than I. Big thanks to Uber Artist Craig Rousseau for a page copy of what appeared in Perhapanauts Six! Oh I'm Happy with this. Place your Order for the Halloween Spooktacular and tell them what you want Matt Pott Cover!!

Little Miss Jekyll

When you have the finished product it always looks different to how you began. What happens in between is what the next post is about!!

Anti-Valentines Day Logopolis 1 of 3

For the Next three days I will be posting a new Logopolis Cartoon leading upto the single most bias creation this side of a civilised world, Valentines Day!! No other day creates a sense of loss to those single people out there who are without somebody. I really hate it and I hope you agree!!

A Happy Late New Year!!

Hopefully you haven't deserted me I've been really busy, my work seems to have taken a great turn for the better and I will expleain mostly later.

Recently I've been priviliged enough to be chatting to the great Todd Dezago. Todds well known in the ComicBook World as the writer of Sensational Spider-Man and co-creator and writer of one of my all time favorite fun books 'TELLOS'. Todd has of course moved on and is now doing another creator owned property 'The Perhapanauts' drawn by Craig Rousseau which has just moved publishers to Image Comics and will see print again in February.

Anyway Todds a really nice guy and told me he liked my art and was kind enough to send me some comics this week of the first two Mini-Series of 'The Perhapanauts' which I will be reading this weekend.

I hope to pay in kind by doing a pin-up of some of the characters of the book. For more info on the book theres the official website you can find HERE and theres also todds blog HERE. I've already read the first issue and its alot of fun and can't wait to read the rest. If you like reading books like 'B.P.R.D.' and 'Invincible' you'll love this even more, it is its own Brilliant Monster. So before you go check it out at your local comics store next month pick up the earlier Trade Paperbacks unless you live in Tasmania then your screwed.

Another incredibly talented professional I have had the fortune to run into online is Chris Sanders. You may know his work as the Director and Voice of Disneys 'Lilo and Stitch' and its spinoffs. I love the way chris designed the girls in that movie with there true proportions so anyway it was great to hear that he likes some of my girls too. Chris is now working for dreamworks but he has a fantastic cartoon strip series up called 'Kiskaloo' which is getting a giant fan following because of its main protaganist the un-named as of yet 'Cat in the Patch' go check it out HERE if you haven't already and prepare for cute fun.

So thats it from me for now I am officially back for 2008, with more updating goodness coming up shortly including a new 'Logopolis' cartoon for those that care and a look at the web artists that inspire me!!
