Devil in De-Tail

Was looking forward to seeing my friend Angie this Month, not going to happen now. So heres her Birthday Present she likes to refer to herself as a devil and has wanted me to design it as such. But because of the negative feedback I get from Women on the web in that they feel I give them a 'RawDeal' I've been hesitant to do so as to recieve some more unwarranted Tongue Lashings, This was Asked for by Angie so no complaining.. I'm going to be taking a break from drawing women for awhile however so expect new stuff coming thats not girl related.

In Related news I watched 'The Smurfs' movie and am still recovering.

I also got to meet a fan of my work recently in Melbourne who's bought my T-Shirts since I began making them 3 Years Ago!! Nice Lady, I like people who make time for others. Not enough of it in my opinion, Until Next Time!!

Spooktacular!

This is a reminder that you can now Order Image Comics 'The Perhapanauts Halloween Spooktacular' in this months PREVIEWS due out in the Second Week of October 2009, I am one of four Artists contributing a cover I'm also mentioned in a recent interview by Writer and Co-Creator Todd Dezago HERE. It seems so Long Ago since this was done when in fact April last year. I even had a few limited Prints to swap at comic con last year. I think I still have one of those left no idea where most of the others ended up. Looking back at this now I see some major flaws and things I'd like to go back and redo. BUT thats benefit of Hindsight for you.

Okay I feel really bad I wasn't as active a member on the Autumn Society so I think I've been dumped from there. I have had alot of people wanting me to join their groups in the past year and I've declined many it just got a bit much with my current workload for me to be active.

My T-Shirts have had great comments from other artists. I have yet to sell ONE yet though Oh well I'm not suprised did tell you now didn't I. Anti-Valentines Day Logopolis 2 of 3

One More to Go see it tomorrow, Thank god its almost Over!!I'm happy to say I'm also on the mend now from the dispicable Flu, and should be fine for my trip to Melbourne Next Week!!

Anti-Valentines Day Logopolis 1 of 3

For the Next three days I will be posting a new Logopolis Cartoon leading upto the single most bias creation this side of a civilised world, Valentines Day!! No other day creates a sense of loss to those single people out there who are without somebody. I really hate it and I hope you agree!!

Return of Logopolis

The Weirdness of Logopolis returns as well as me. I have been gone to long from bloginess and hereby dedicate the entire week to updates starting..........NOW!! No doubt everyone has left and thought I was never coming back tsk, tsk typical!! So yeah I'm still trying to find my way on how to create an online strip theres plenty of inspiration out there however!!

So what did I get upto this week, well besides being sick, I booked a flight to Australias version of Metropolis 'Melbourne' but the strange thing is I only have a one way ticket!! I plan to comeback to tassie, just don't know when. I'll be there from the 19th of February but as usual I'll blog it so you don't miss out on my adventures.

I got a chance to watch 'STARDUST' tonight an interesting film in that some of its stars get killed off and I was like yeah but he's a big name. But I was more pleased that Ricky Gervais was finally got his just desserts No I never found 'The Office' funny in fact it was way overated!! But I like movies like this Unpredictable, and keeps the audience unsure as to where its heading. As a good example see Mars Attacks where everybody died!! LOVE IT!!
Claire Danes what happened to her eyebrows?? I think she was taking a page out of Natalie Portmans book from Revenge of the Sith totally Yuck!!

hmmm... what else is news ahhhhh yes big...BIG news coming soon. I'm really stoked as to its importance. And its been a long time coming!! What is it?? well can't say....Yet!! I'll save it for April when its closer to the release date!!

Really Back For Good!!

So here I am late January and not much to show for it, I've been running on auto pilot these past few weeks. I'm going to order myself to update this blog as much as possible everyweek now. And that will include new Logopolis cartoons. But for right now I am under deadline for a Pin Up and I will talk about that more later. Until then checkout this old cartoon I've had in stock. You have to guess what I'm staring at.....

Girl Sketches

So as you know I often visit the park in Salamanca Place to doodle some drawings and get ideas. On wednesday however my usual sketch session turned into a Mugging and I was the mugged. I'm fine still a bit stressed out from the situation, I just realised how much Hobarts gotten unsafe. Anyway on to some art and some sketches of girls for you, hey its better than nothing.Any Likeness of persons living or dead is purely coincidental !! Honest!!

And as for the Latest Poll 'Scarlett Johansson' Tops the Poll WTF are you guys thinking ??? Jennifer Connelly is so muchy more Dishy!!! I suppose I'm lucky I didn't put Paris Hilton on there. Thanks too all those that voted, a New one will be up soon!!

LOGOPOLIS NOW!!!

When I decided to discontinue my older strip, I had to fill the gap with something new. I had always liked the occassional 'Peanuts' stuff and so I wanted to go in that direction but rather than have to try and kick a football every week, I wanted to move into subjects and situations that appeal to me and others.
So today I begin my new series of strips entitled 'Logopolis'. I am a real geek boy at heart from Cartoons, TV, Games, Comics and Movies and this latest series will cover it all. So why the name 'Logopolis' ?? if you can tell me without googling it then you are a 'Supreme Geek'.

Although I prefer the Black and White strips you may find the occassional Colour one thrown in. And some of my real friends as well as web friends will be making an appearance from time to time so watchout you may just pop in for a Cameo. I'm really gonna try and have some real fun with this, so I hope you like them.

Whatcha' Lookin At??

So it was a really nice day here in Tasmania, and I decided to head into the city for some R&R. I sat in the Park at 'Salamanca Place' for almost 5 hours Brainstorming some new cartoons for this here blog.

So the Park benches are laid out horribly there. Normally I like a table but for most of the day they were busy. So these benches face each other and you have to sit directly opposite someone else. For awhile there I was mostly on my own then out of the blue this weird guy comes and sits down and starts mumbling to himself. Not only that but tries to see what the hell I' m drawing. I'm an artist who can't stand snoops and I can't draw in front of a crowd so I tried to edge the sketchbook away from prying eyes. I think the old dude was a Dutchy too!!

And heres a tip when its a really hot day wear some sunscreen my heads still a tinglin'.

The Waiting Game

Theres nothing worse than having to have gone through a lot hard work for prospective clients in the space of just a few days then it becomes a Waiting game to hear back from anyone.

In some cases they have taken six months or more to get back about the job if at all and you have to keep digging for information on whether you can put all other things aside and begin work on the Project or go elsewhere. One thing is certain don't wait just move on to another job because if you become dependant on the outcome of one job you will get Nowhere!!. If it is positive then weigh up your options and see which job will be the better for YOU!!
