Okay, so you may have noticed the blog is going under a facelift apparently blogger got off its backside at last and is offering new templates. So I wanted to widen it and put an extra column to spread things out. There will be a new Head Image coming at some point soon to make things complete. Until then dont be suprised if you see a few things change in the meantime. If you have any ideas I'm happy to take them on board.

Anyone Out There?

Well as you may or may not have noticed I have taken a breather from my regular art Blog as a lot has been happening infront of and behind the scenes.

I've come to realise pehaps too late but I hope not, that I have a lot of responsibilty to people who think of me as foremost a good artist that they look up to and respect it. I believe I am in no way in the same league as my heroes artwise but when people get excited just because I talk to them online, or recieve emails from people in the business saying how much they love my work. Than theres something there that I have had to reconsider and see that my responsibilty is alot greater than I have ever thought.

I've never liked 'Fame' I know lots who crave it and I've seen what it has done to some people, going to their overblown heads. I don't want to be EVER be like that. So I tried to destroy the little respect I had so that I could be left alone and do what I love doing and draw while trying to etch a career from it however it was more negative than a positive experience.

I have a great new opportunity here with my latest dreamworks artworks, and I am constantly reminded how lucky I am when I meet up with other artists and my close friends who envy the position I am currently in even if right now times are still tough for me I make little money from art right now nor no full time position or employment. But if I were to finally get in studio work and experience I am sure to become a better person for it.

Up, Up and Away

Confirmed today I will in Melbourne for April's SUPANOVA convention. I hope to catch up with alot of people while I'm there. One of which is the great Angela White whom time and again we seem to miss each other when I visit. It had been a year since I did some art for her but thought it was about time for another. Looking forward to it.

Over the Horizon

A short update today, I know there havent been any in roads made to this blog lately. Theres a few reasons why, but just one for now I've been suffering from a mystery illness not sure what it is, its had alot of people worried so I will be sure to let you all know once its been removed from my head.

Also Upcoming this Month or Early next will be the first release of my Official Dreamworks Art Prints with one already in the can (so to film speak). Including a showing at Dreamworks Animation itself where everyone whos anyone will be in attendance except for me because I'm a no-one yet. More Information will be made public as soon as I'm allowed too.

Which comes to my next order of business, I'm looking for Suggestions as to which Dreamworks characters you would like to see via my interpretive works from the Following Movies, Kung Fu Panda, SHREK 1,2,3, Bee Movie, Monsters VS Aliens and Madagascar. All suggestions will be looked at and the most popular will be most likely be made.

A Happy New Year to everyone and welcome to Two Thousand and Ten or is that 'TwentyTen' like all the world governments want us to refer it too?? I'm not much of a conformist quite the opposite in fact so very undecided on that particular choice.

As you may have noticed I've been gone for almost a month blogless fending off the Christmas relatives and waiting for an opportunity to return to my beloved friends thats you by the way all two of ya!!

Last Year I believe I lost focus on what I was going for which was a Studio job. Call me dissallusioned but until the Tail end of 09 it was to be quite blunt a shit year for me. This Year however I will be putting things back on track for everyone.

Starting This week I will be Looking at what makes a Good Portfolio, How to Present Yourself, How Not Too during a Review/Interview all the stuff I learnt. You Learn by mistakes sometimes you make them twice or three times until you get it right and I still havent but I chip away.
